Negotiations update: Next mediation session Mon., Nov. 11

On October 23, our bargaining team had a second mediation session with the District in the hopes of settling our long-outstanding contract. Both parties worked hard to make positive progress. At around 8:30pm, we agreed that another mediation session would be necessary. The next mediation date will be Monday, November 11 (at Gough St., 9am).

We continue to respect the mediator’s request and our collective agreement for confidentiality while we try to come to a fair settlement. As always, however, our mediation sessions are open to our members (see what members had to say last time). Since there is no school on Nov. 11, we hope to have an especially robust turnout. Please let us know if you can attend by emailing organizer Ona Keller at okeller@aft2121.org.

lettersOur collective stack of letters to Special Trustee Agrella keeps growing, and it looked especially impressive in the middle of the bargaining table yesterday. It is important that we continue to demonstrate to administration that faculty stand behind the bargaining team (by signing this letter to Agrella) and that our city stands behind our collective City College (by having a successful Halloween March).
