At the end of Fall semester, we were happy to see that the number and severity of payroll problems had dropped. It seemed like things were improving. But the beginning of a new semester always brings new problems.
We know of nine part-timers who did not receive a 1/30 paycheck. It’s outrageous. Other faculty were significantly underpaid. Entire assignments are missing from paychecks. Report payroll problems.
Some faculty are also missing sick pay. Sick pay for pay-by-load assignments is supposed to be credited at the beginning of each semester. Your January paycheck should include sick pay. Please check your check to make sure it’s there. Get help checking your check.
