Solidarity with faculty member Ms. Bob

We stand with Ms. Bob!

Wednesday evening, Ms. Bob Davis, a music instructor at CCSF and fellow AFT 2121 member, was violently arrested at a protest to demand an end to unfair rent hikes and no cause evictions in Alameda. Video of the arrest shows blood left on the ground where Ms. Bob was tackled by Alameda police. As is often the case in instances of excessive force, police have escalated the charges against Ms. Bob, likely in an attempt to deflect attention from the clear police brutality shown in the video.

AFT 2121 is proud of Ms. Bob’s activism, and the important work of Tenants Together and The Alameda Renters Coalition in maintaining quality affordable housing for working people in the Bay Area. AFT 2121 reiterates their demands to drop the charges against the protestors and for an independent investigation into the incident.
