Thurs, Jan. 28: Tell the Board of Trustees why they must prioritize setting a fair faculty contract

At last, our Board of Trustees now officially have their full powers! We sent a strong message to Chancellor Lamb on FLEX day about the importance of our contract, now we need to send the same message to the Board.

Attend the Board of Trustees meeting on Ocean Campus in MUB 140 at on January 28th in your AFT 2121 t-shirt. We plan to pack the room so come a few minutes before the meeting starts at 4:00 pm. If you are able to do so please join student leaders, our union leaders, and your co-workers in making a public comment to the board. Tell our decision makers why we they must prioritize setting a fair faculty contract.

We have declared impasse: No Business As Usual!

On Friday, January 15th with the support of CCSF staff, student leaders, and S.F. community leaders hundreds of City College faculty chose to boycott CCSF Chancellor Lamb’s FLEX Day address to send a message: we’ve gone 6 months without a fair faculty contract and we are at impasse: NO MORE BUSINESS AS USUAL!

You can help build our union: Volunteer!

Our union is only as strong as member participation. Right now it is important to step up in three ways:

1) Attend the Board of Trustees meeting on Ocean Campus in MUB 140 at  on January 28th at 4pm in your AFT 2121 t-shirt. We sent a strong message to Chancellor Lamb on FLEX day about the importance of our contract, now we need to send the same message to the Board.

2) Phone bank other members on Monday, January 25th from 3 – 7pm. Help spread the word about the BOT meeting on the 28th.

3) Help us enter the huge amounts of data we collected last semester through our organizing efforts into our database. By keeping track of our supporters among San Franciscans we can continue to engage them in important issues facing the college, such as proposed downsizing and our struggle for a fair contract. Whenever you are free to help out during regular business hours you can help us enter data, just call beforehand (415-585-2121) to make sure there is a list on hand for you to enter.
