Tomorrow, we will hold our General Membership Meeting and a COPE meeting at Ocean in MUB #140 from 3:00-5:00pm.
Do you know a leader that should be included in the upcoming election? Tomorrow, nominations will be accepted from the floor for all Officer, Executive Board and Delegate (Precinct Rep) positions. Your participation is critical to our union’s democratic processes and this meeting will be the the last chance nominate candidates for the 2016-2018 leadership term.
We will also be holding a COPE meeting to help determine who AFT 2121 endorses for the November 2016 elections. We will review and confirm recommendations from COPE interviews and cover additional election considerations.
Do you want to attend a strike school? Tomorrow’s meeting comes right after our historic vote to authorize a strike should our negotiating team deem it necessary: a successful strike will require continued organizing strength, and our union needs us to be involved. Please join us.
