Many of our CCSF bookstore locations have been closed prematurely this semester. We plan to come out in force to the next Bookstore Board of Trustees meeting and explain how reduced access to bookstores hurts students who are not able to purchase books online or who are participating in open enrollment classes. Please join us!
The current bookstore closures are a direct result of privatizing and outsourcing our bookstores which used to be run by the college. The private company running our bookstores agreed to a contract to serve students all semester long. They shouldn’t be allowed to let our students down just because they aren’t making a profit. Our College administration shouldn’t be allowed to pass the buck on serving our students just because they made the poor decision to allow the outsourcing and privatization of our students’ bookstores. You can come out with us on Monday to remind them that our students deserve better.
