CCSF has always been and should remain a place of opportunity where those who need it the most get second, and even third chances. Struggling students must choose between paying for classes, paying for rent, or paying for textbooks. And some of our most vulnerable students will not be able improve their academic performance if they can’t afford to take the classes they need. We need to defend the Free City program for ALL San Franciscans!
From the beginning the Free City Initiative was crafted to be inclusive and to communicate to all SF students that our college is their college, especially at moments when they may be struggling academically. And San Franciscans passed prop W to Fund Free City College for ALL San Franciscans. The money is there.
