Fighting the ACCJC in D.C. |Winter organizing | Tomorrow: Delegate Assembly & CFT nominations

We are going to D.C. to challenge the ACCJC!

On Wednesday, December 16 to Friday, December 19, 2015 there will be 36 people traveling from California to Washington D.C. to let NACIQI and the federal Department of Education know that the ACCJC is no longer a viable accreditor. The Save CCSF Coalition, student organizations and AFT 2121 have worked to bring together these 36 people who include students from CCSF, Board of Trustee President Rafael Mandelman, Trustee John Rizzo, and several members of our AFT 2121 Executive Board.

Our message is clear and united: the ACCJC has systematically abused its power and they must be held accountable. We’ll report back when we return from DC!

Winter organizing: You can help make our union stronger!

You may remember that over the summer AFT leaders and faculty volunteers made a huge push to reach out to hundreds of our coworkers in order to engage them in our union and the fight for a fair contract. And we will spend the winter break continuing to learn about faculty concerns and strengthening our ties with each other by doing house visits and holding phone banks.
Contact Organizer Michael McCown (mmccown@aft2121.org) to learn more about outreach dates and how you can help.

Tomorrow: AFT 2121 Delegate Assembly (UPDATED LOCATION)

Join us tomorrow for the last Delegate Assembly of the fall semester. We will discuss our recent victories and next steps to winning a fair contract.
