Take Action Now: Get our faculty paid

Dear fellow Faculty,

Over 200 of our colleagues were not paid correctly last Friday for their August labor. 158 of them were not paid at all.

After AFT demanded that our faculty be paid by Saturday morning (with the suggestion that, if necessary, Chancellor Roche use his own paycheck to do it) some top-level administrators worked late Friday night so that checks for $1000 were available Saturday morning for those who did not get paid at all. As of Wednesday afternoon, most of the 158 are still awaiting their full pay.

This state of affairs is unacceptable. Stand with us to fight back. We need you to:

1. Sign onto our email campaign to the Chancellor and the President of our Board of Trustees. We want to flood his email inbox between now and Friday. Sign on to our email campaign now.

2. Be ready to show up for an action on Monday, September 10th at 12:00 pm (Ocean campus.) if we don’t see everyone paid by Friday. More details to come as the situation develops.
