AFT 2121 has “adopted” events and picket lines in Unite Here Local 2’s ongoing strike against Marriott Hotels. Marriott workers at seven hotels in San Francisco went on strike on Thursday, October 4. And are now among 7,700 Marriott workers on strike in eight cities across the U.S.—and more cities may join. Please join us in standing with our fellow workers! Please wear your AFT 2121 t-shirt when you do. Email t-shirt size to jworley@aft2121.org by Thursday at 5pm to request one.

Local 2’s ongoing requests for support during their strike:
1) come to a picketline, any day, any time, any hotel. It makes a difference to have more people on the line and we appreciate knowing that the community has our back!
2) Bring food to the line. Special shout out for folks who bring food during the graveyard shift when not much is open.
3) donate to the strike hardship fund
4) always, always remind people to not use the hotel while we’re on strike.
