Membership: It’s a new era

Well-funded anti-union groups like the Freedom Foundation are working to recruit Union members and encourage you to drop your membership. These groups understand the power of working people standing together – and they don’t want that! But we’ve seen a surge of union pride this semester: Over 100 colleagues have signed up this Fall

AFT 2121 is continuing the work that’s needed to help us all keep talking to each other and affirm we still have each others backs. Our Membership Drive begins tomorrow December 5 and runs thru December 8th.

Already a member? Volunteer to help sign up your colleagues as members so we can remain strong.
More than anything we need to be sure our college is able to stay on the path of rebuilding in spite of administrative restrictions that are preventing our college from growing and hurting our students’ progress. During our membership drive we ask you to get together with your colleagues and take a picture expressing your vision for “how we can grow.” Please wear your AFT 2121 t-shirt or button and share it on social media and with us (email organizer Athena Waid, awaid@aft2121.org). Let’s show each other and the world that we are our Union and we are standing together to keep our college strong.
