COVID-19 & CCSF advocacy: Event updates

Measures to control the COVID-19 outbreak in San Francisco have affected the events to advocate for a fully funded CCSF over the next 2 weeks. Here are the changes you should look out for:

Wednesday, March 11th, 5:30pm — Budget Town Hall — moved to online format

The Budget Town Hall will not be held at the Main Library anymore, instead it will be hosted as an online town hall. You can find the online event here. You can still submit your budget questions in advance here, or submit your feedback to the Mayor’s Budget Office online here.

Friday, March 13th, 10am — Joint Education Committee Hearing — City Hall room 250

The Joint Education Committee hearing on Chronic Underfunding of Public Education and Possible Local Solutions is still scheduled to take place this Friday at 10am at city Hall in room 250. In order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 we are no longer doing large turnout for this event. However, it’s very important the needs of CCSF are still represented so we are sending a delegation to the meeting instead. RSVP if you’re able to join our delegation and give a public comment in support of fully finding our CCSF!

If your aren’t joining the delegation, we encourage you to contact the Mayor’s office and your Supervisor and ask them to support community efforts to fully fund CCSF!

Community Higher Education Fund Rally & Kickoff – March 24th, noon at City Hall steps

Our rally & kickoff for CHEF may be postponed as well but for now we are waiting to see how this plays out. Stay tuned for more details on how to support our campaign for a fully funded CCSF! RSVP and we will reach out to you with more details baout the action closer to the time
