All AFT 2121 members are invited to participate in our most important COPE decision of 2020.
On June 2nd, 2020 our COPE heard from Board of Trustees candidates Aliya Chisti, Anita Martinez , Han Zou, Tom Temprano) (current BOT Vice President) and Shanell Williams (current BOT President.) Members voted then to endorse Anita Martinez. In April 2020, we endorsed Alan Wong. There are two additional seats that we have not endorsed for in the November 2020 election.
Due to the importance of this decision, we are asking our members to vote online for the remaining seats. As faculty and students fight to save our college, it is critical that we endorse accountable leaders. All AFT 2121 members may vote at our COPE meetings. We only consider candidates who have asked for our endorsement, and completed our questionnaire. Candidate questionnaires and their recorded 6/2 statements can be found here. Please cast your vote by June 30th, 2020. Results will be announced on July 1, 2020.
