ADEM elections allow registered democrats in each assembly district to elect delegates to help determine and enact the platform of the Democratic party in California. Read more here: https://adem.cadem.org. This year mailed ballots must be received by February 3rd. Read below for AFT 2121’s ADEM endorsements.
Voting has been extended! Ballots received by February 3rd will now be counted–a one-week extension beyond the original “postmarked by January 27 and arrive by January 30” deadline! It is too late to request a ballot, but there is still time to turn them in!

At our January 15th flex workshop, Kung Feng from Jobs for Justice and Bay Resistance joined us to report on efforts to defend democracy, including The Frontline, a new initiative of the Movement for Black Lives Electoral Justice Project and Working Families Party, to support the calls to impeach/convict Trump, expel members of congress who opposed the certification of lawful election results (petition here), and demand an investigation into the security response to the white supremacist attack on the Capitol on January 6th. Here are ways to follow up:
- We can join the call for members of Congress to impeach, expel, and investigate
- Join ACCE’s call to hold accountable members of Congress who tried to undermine the certification of the election
