Bargaining Team Nominations

Who do you want to represent you on the next bargaining team?

Our contract with the District expires on June 30, and the process to elect a bargaining team has begun. From pay to health care to job stability, your elected union bargaining team will be responsible for negotiating essential issues for your contract. The most effective bargaining teams are those who represent faculty voices from across the college, who are able to creatively seek solutions to challenges, and who are well connected to their colleagues.

A strong, democratic union requires engagement; it doesn’t require that everyone agrees. Working together to find the best way forward for everyone is part of union work. Your AFT 2121 leadership is encouraging all faculty to engage in our representative structure where decisions are made: talk to your precinct rep, attend the Delegate Assembly, fill out the bargaining survey, run for the bargaining team or encourage a colleague to do so.

Being on the bargaining team is an opportunity to learn about so much that affects our work–contract provisions, college finances, the needs of different groups of faculty–and a chance to fight for what matters to YOU. See the Bargaining Team Job Description and the Bargaining Team Application for more information. All nomination materials must be turned in by Monday, 1/19/26.

When bargaining works, our bargaining team represents all faculty in  our bargaining unit and is part of a unified and organized workplace. Consider running for the bargaining team now!
