AFT’s Committee on Political Education (COPE) met today (1/27) to discuss AFT 2121’s endorsements in the races for San Francisco District 2 Supervisor (the Marina), District 4 Supervisor (the Sunset), and Congressional District 11 (Nancy Pelosi’s former seat). The committee voted unanimously to recommend endorsing Lori Brooke for District 2 Supervisor, Natalie Gee for District 4 Supervisor, and Connie Chan for the Congressional seat.
All AFT 2121 members are encouraged to vote on whether your union will make the following endorsements in the upcoming June 2026 San Francisco elections. You have 48 hours to vote, and voting is open to all members in good standing, including Chairs, members of the retiree chapters, and full-time and part-time faculty. As a union member, you have power, and with that power comes responsibility – to engage in local politics and ensure our City has leaders who fight for public education, labor rights, and a better, more just San Francisco. This work is essential for our students and our contract.
