COPE Meeting Tues 3/24, 1:30-3:30 PM

AFT Endorsements for Local Supervisors & Contributions to Endorsed Candidates Connie Chan, Natalie Gee, and Lori Brooke

This Tuesday 3/24/26 at 1:30 PM, all AFT members are encouraged to attend a special Committee on Political Education meeting where we will hear from three candidates for Supervisor in District 8 (Castro, Noe Valley, Diamond Heights): Gary McCoy, Manny Yekutiel, and Michael Nguyen. The candidates will discuss their vision for San Francisco, and what role City College plays in it. This is an opportunity for you to tell them what is important to faculty, students, and the wider CCSF community.

We will also be discussing AFT 2121 contributions to the campaigns of Connie Chan, Natalie Gee, and Lori Brooke, who we endorsed last month. All three of these candidates are running against billionaire-backed opponents, and we know these races will have long-term ramifications on our college and city. As a union member, you have power to ensure our City has leaders who fight for public education, labor rights, and a more just San Francisco. This work is essential for our students and our contract. All of these races are on the June ballot. All AFT members can attend and vote on recommendations to membership. See agenda here.
