Special Delegate Assembly to Endorse Sunshine Document, Tues, 3/10, 3-4:30 PM
All members are invited to a special Delegate Assembly tomorrow, 3/10, 3-4:30pm on Zoom (Agenda) and to read the draft of the Sunshine Document. AFT 2121’s Sunshine Document is our opening communication to the District where we articulate our broad goals for the contract campaign. After review and discussion, delegates will vote on endorsing it in preparation for its presentation to the Board of Trustees.
You can use the same meeting link as for Delegate Assembly meetings. Full meeting link here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81016718065
Over the course of our contract campaign, your bargaining team will be developing specific proposal language based on your input from the bargaining survey, article conversations, one-on-one conversations with precinct reps and meetings like this one.
Academic Senate Elections are Happening Now!
At CCSF there are two main bodies through which faculty make an impact on the college – your faculty union and the Academic Senate – and both are having elections this spring.
All faculty members at CCSF are Senators and can vote in the current Senate election for Executive Council members. The Senate’s primary function is to make recommendations with respect to academic and professional matters, also known as 10+1. Our voice is stronger when we all participate – this is a basic premise of participatory democracy.

Note: You need to be logged into your Office 365 account to access the form.
Our Union Leadership Elections: Advance Nominations by 3/13
AFT 2121 is also having leadership elections this spring. All members should plan to participate in the 3/17 General Membership Meeting where we will be nominating our union’s leadership for elections and considering updates to our Constitution and Bylaws. Voting will take place in April.
Nominations will occur on the floor of the Tuesday March 17 General Membership Meeting for precinct representatives and all other AFT leadership positions. If you’re interested in running for an AFT Officer, Executive Board, AFT Convention, or Labor Council position, you can nominate yourself in advanceby filling out this form and submitting a candidate statement endorsed with signatures from 5 AFT members in good standing by Friday, March 13 via email to elections@aft2121.org.
The AFT 2121 election is overseen by an election commission that was elected at the last Delegate Assembly: Katia Fuchs, Mike Estrada, and Lori Admokom, with Chad Stephenson as an alternate.
