Last chance: Strike Hardship Fund VOTE today!

We urge all members to vote YES today in the referendum to establish our Strike Hardship Fund. Yesterday, after waiting for a long promised salary proposal our AFT 2121 bargaining team finally received one. The District’s proposal is paltry and inadequate. They are offering a mere 1.1% raise above our 2007 salaries, and that is only for full timers! Part timers would get no restoration of salary. They also offered a 1% across the board COLA right now and COLA for the next two years after that. We do not have to accept this!

Vote ‘YES’ today to establish a Strike Hardship Fund and show the District that we are united and willing to take action for a fair contract! All union members – including department chairs — can vote in the Strike Hardship Fund referendum. Find out where to VOTE

The November election just around the corner, and we have joined with the SF Tenants and Families coalition of community and labor groups to elect Aaron Peskin to the Board of Supervisors for District 3, a progressive candidate who will stand up for working families and against the real estate speculation that is driving too many of us out of town. We also have the opportunity to pass Prop. I, the pause for an affordable housing plan in the Mission, and Prop. F, common sense AirBnB reform, both of which are essential to an affordable San Francisco.
