Nationally, AFT is working with Jobs with Justice to give Student Debt Clinics and get people the info they need to enroll in income-driven student loan repayment programs and Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Participants are encouraged to shift their perspectives and stopseeing student debt as just a personal issue, but rather a shared national crisis that will require collective action to address.

Long-term Care Insurance through CCSF
Human Resources at CCSF has sent information about long-term care to all faculty. AFT was not involved in looking at this long-term care insurance benefit, which is optional and would be at the employee’s expense. As it speaks to a real and growing need, it may be worth considering if you are eligible. AFT members may want to compare it to the long-term care insurance offered through AFT Member Benefits.
