Proof of vaccination deadline tomorrow | Evans campus comments | More…

(Tomorrow, Fri. 10/29) *In-person Faculty* must upload vaccination proof

The college will begin enforcing the vaccination mandate for employees on Nov 8th, and it takes up to 10 days for them to verify your info, so all faculty who are currently in-person (or plan to be later this semester) should submit their vaccination info or request exemptions by tomorrow Friday, Oct 29, at the latest. Starting on 11/8, faculty will not be permitted to enter CCSF buildings without this.

The website to upload vaccine info is functional. The mobile app is still in the works. You MUST use ccsf.edu email addresses, NOT mail.ccsf.edu or personal addresses.

  1. If you have regular guests or volunteers they should also upload their info. They can email proof of vaccination to vaxx@ccsf.edu.
  2. To request an exemption, use one of these forms:
    1. Medical Exemption Form
    2. Religious Exemption Form
    3. Once you fill out the exemption form, you can upload it to the same website as above.
  3. Admin has said many times that unvaxxed students will NOT be dropped from Fall 2021 classes. Students who are in person this semester are asked to upload their info. Enforcement for students will definitely happen in January, and students will need to provide proof of vaccination or exemption to register for in-person Spring 2022 classes. Students can upload their info/exemptions requests now, using the same website as employees. Students are asked to use their ccsf email addresses.

(Today, 10/28, 4:15pm) Union Day or Action: March on the OMNI Hotel!

(The OMNI Hotel refuses to sign the Local 2’s 2018 deal. Stand with your union siblings today at Union Square (Across from the St. Francis Hotel) starting at 4:15 PM. On October 28th Local 2 will be On the March in 29 cities pushing back against greedy bosses who are using the pandemic to permanently slash the workforce.

Nowhere have hotels called back fewer workers than in San Francisco. Enough!

(Until 11/18) Evans Study comment period extended

On 9/14, we reported that CCSF appears to be getting ready to move the AMT program to the Evans Campus. College administration must do right by the AMT students who have been left out in the cold for a year and half now, but we have serious concerns about the lack of community input, potential toxins and noise pollution, and the potential for disruption of other Evans Campus programs.

The District has posted an initial study and “mitigation monitoring” document about environmental impacts. It addresses only impacts of the move itself. There is no mention of how the ongoing AMT classes would impact other Evans Campus programs or the neighboring community. The public comment period for this study has been extended, and we have until 11/18/21 to submit comments.
